Gorgeous woven, fair trade, native Alpaca wool blankets made by local Andean communities in the Otavalo area of Ecuador. These traditional Andes blankets are beautifully soft and warm, big enough to cover the end of a Kingsize bed or use as a blanket on your sofa, or picnic blanket in summer.
They are made using traditional techniques on semi automatic looms by local craftsmen and women. The alpaca wool is locally sourced and the patterns and colours used reflect a long history of textile weaving in the area. The pattern differs on both sides making it reversible too for added versatility!
